Use this article to share listings with clients in Messages, start and continue conversations, and see which shared listings a client liked, marked Maybe, or rejected in the Perchwell mobile app.
Share listings with clients in Messages
Share one or more listings with an invited client in Messages from the Search page or a Listing Detail Page. Each message holds up to 1,000 characters.
Start from where you are viewing the listing:
Search page: Switch from the default map view to the Listings view, then tap the checkbox on each listing you want to share. Tap the three-dots icon in the upper right, which shows how many you selected, then tap Send via messages.
Listing Detail Page: Tap the three-dots icon in the upper right. On the Actions tab, tap Send via messages.
Steps:
Tap a contact
Enter a message
Tap the paper-plane icon to send
The listings are sent to the client in Messages.
To share listings saved to a Tag, open the Tag and view its listings first. Tags in the Perchwell Mobile App explains how.
Invite a client before messaging them
Messages works only with clients you have invited to Perchwell. When you share listings, uninvited contacts appear grayed out in the contact list and cannot be selected. Manage Contacts in the Perchwell Mobile App explains how to send a Perchwell invitation from a contact's Contact details.
To send listings to someone outside Messages, tap Share externally instead of Send via messages. Share externally opens your phone's share options, such as AirDrop or your email app.
Start or continue a conversation in Messages
Start a conversation with an invited client from the Messages tab.
Steps:
Tap New in the upper right
Tap the client you want to message
Enter your message in the Send a message field
Tap the paper-plane icon to send
The conversation opens with your message. To start from a contact instead, tap Message in their Contact details.
To continue a conversation, tap the client's name on the Messages tab. The General tab shows your messages and shared listings, with the time each message was sent.
Members who came from a legacy platform may know Messages as part of the Collaboration Center.
Review client reactions in Shared listings
Review how a client reacted to the listings you shared on the Shared listings tab of your conversation. Tap the client's name on the Messages tab, then tap Shared listings.
Shared listings groups the listings by reaction:
Liked: Listings the client liked.
Maybe: Listings the client marked Maybe.
Rejected: Listings the client rejected.
Undecided: Listings the client has not reacted to.
Tap a listing to view the client's reaction and your messages about that listing.
Does the mobile app send push notifications for new messages?
No. Push notifications for new messages are not available in the Perchwell mobile app. To check for a client's reply, open the Messages tab.
